Year 9 - Equality and Social Justice
Looking at Conflict - Mixed media
This short project is designed to give pupils the opportunity to consider the complexity of a conflict situation, consider both sides of an argument, explore their own feelings and opinions, and develop their understanding of the role of the media. The unit of work is based on the recent conflict in Iraq but could be adapted to fit other situations currently of interest. It has been designed to last approximately four weeks but could be extended into an ICT project, through use of Photoshop to produce a piece computer based collage.
