People & Roles -

SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS OFFICERS.

In 2004 a new body was set up to oversee the needs of children with special educational needs. (NCSE) Towards the end of the year 70 Special Educational Needs Organisers (SENOs) were appointed to co-ordinate and deliver resources for pupils in schools. Their role is to oversee the delivery of special needs provision at a local level.
