Main objective: Enhancing basic skills in numeracy and science

The acquisition of basic skills (literacy, mathematics, science and digital) sets the foundation for further learning; hence, it is essential for students’ academic and personal development.

The direction of the future of humanity will be predicated on humanity’s response to the global mass anthropogenic extinction. The response must be cogent and effective across the educational spectrum.

Challenging ‘plant blindness’ – when children are asked to discriminate between plant data in a landscape, they find it difficult to discern plant types (trees, shrubs, herbs categories). Discrimination (what’s the difference?) and discernment (what’s the same?) are two fundamental aspects of categorisation. Exploring Plant data through mathematical thinking, utilising innate capabilities for categorisation, visual/ computational cognition, constructivism, and accelerating cognitive development.
